History

The B&B Cascina Dell'Orso was born in 2008 following the renovation in green building of an old farmhouse belonging to a hamlet of the 1500s. With the same restructuring techniques it is the turn, in 2012, of the B&B Le Stanze delle Fate which will follow, 2 years later, the B&B Sentieri Sibillini.

The combination of these three structures had given birth to Vallinfante, a hamlet of Castelsantangelo sul Nera (MC), to a widespread hospitality system, in one of the most beautiful landscape settings of the Sibillini Mountains National Park. A swimming pool was built in the large garden shared by the 3 Bed and Breakfasts.

The B & Bs were managed by Stefania Servili and her husband Massimo Dell’Orso. Massimo professionally dealt with wildlife management and was the manager of the Visitor Center and Wildlife Center of Castelsantangelo sul Nera. Stefania, after almost thirty years of professional photography, had devoted herself completely and passionately to welcoming guests.

The 2016 earthquake destroyed the entire village of Vallinfante, as well as the other inhabited centers in the area.

In May 2018 Massimo tragically disappeared and Stefania alone carried on with courage and determination the relocation project of the B&B that had started together. Thanks also to a fundraiser, in August 2019 he was able to reopen the business in the hamlet of Gualdo.

The Sibillini Mountains are a place linked to magic and stories that hover around the sorceress Sybil, ancient divining cave dweller placed on the summit of the mountain of.
One of these legends says that the Sibyl queen was surrounded by numerous Servants (Fate) that during the night down in the valley countries to dance with the young people of the place.

These stories were a source of inspiration for the choice of the name of the B&B Le Stanze delle Fate and its rooms: the Queen's Room and the Ancelle Room.
